What is AADA Live?
AADA Live is an email system based on Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail, the most-used Webmail service in the world. AADA Live provides current students, staff and alumni with a set of communication and networking tools for their time at the Academy and beyond.

Why use AADA Live?
  • Email – your own AADAnetwork.org email address
  • The Live.com suite – an extended set of tools offered by Microsoft, including Windows Live Messenger, Live Spaces and Windows Live for Mobile.
  • Storage Space – up to 5GB for emails and shared files
  • Groups – online meeting space for groups, complete with a group e-mail address, shared calendar, and group discussion. A group page is set up for each class at the beginning of the academic year.
  • Shared Calendar – share calendars with friends, casts, or entire classes.
  • Offline access, POP access, and email forwarding – check all your email accounts in one place and integrate calendars to Outlook.
  • Events – publicize events; invite friends and members of the network
  • Faculty and Staff are also using AADA Live to communicate announcements and scheduling information and to disseminate some class materials.

Privacy and Content
In addition to online support and spam protection from Microsoft, AADA has a specific privacy and usage policy for AADA Live and its applications for students and staff. Students are subject to the same code of conduct online as they are at the Academy, and likewise, violation of these policies is subject to disciplinary action from AADA administration. Click here for our privacy and usage statements.

How to sign up/sign in
If you are a student currently enrolled at either AADA campus, you should already have an account set up for you. If you are not sure you have an account, please contact us.

To access your account:
  1. Go to the login page via http://home.live.com
  2. In the top right hand corner you will see a link to Sign In. Click on this link, and it will open a new page showing two boxes to enter your Windows Live ID and Password.
  3. Your Windows Live ID is your email address, which consists of your first and last name, followed by '@aadanetwork.org': first.last@aadanetwork.org (example: Jane Doe = jane.doe@aadanetwork.org). Please use the default password sent to you in your admissions packet upon enrollment. If you do not have your password, email hewing@aadanetwork.org.
  4. Once signed in, you will be asked to enter basic account information. This will take you back to the live.com home page, where you will be offered a "tour" of the Live applications, such as your email, Spaces, Group pages and Calendars.
  5. Once you have explored your account, go to the Live Space http://aadaalumni.spaces.live.com for tips on personalizing your account and other features of AADA Live @ EDU or to check out the alumni office blog. Feel free to request access to this page as it will let us know you have succeeded!

Changing your Password
You will be provided a default password for your first login, but are required to change this once you access your account.

From the home page, click on the options menu, on the right side of your screen. From the drop-down menu that appears, click "more options." This will bring you to the "Options" page, which contains a link to change your password, as well as location and time zone settings for your calendar. After you have changed your password, please take a look through the additional options on the page to further customize your live account.

If you forget your password after you have logged in, simply go to the login page, click on "Forgot your password?" and follow the simple instructions on the screen.

Add Friends and Colleagues
You can easily find your friends and classmates on AADA Live by adding them to your Contacts using their Windows Live ID/email: first.last@aadanetwork.org. This will add them to your email contact list, as well as give you the option to invite them to join your Network, where you will appear on one another's profiles and receive updates about their activity on AADA Live (News Feed).

Contact
Email Hope Ewing, Alumni Coordinator, at hewing@aadanetwork.org if you have any questions or experience any difficulty logging in.

We look forward to seeing you online!
