Coursework will include Acting, Voice and Speech, Vocal Production and Movement. All classes are taught by professional instructors each one an expert of his or her craft as an actor, director, vocal artist or dancer. Extended faculty biographies, academic credentials and photographs can be found
here. Training may be accepted for credit toward other programs. The six week intensive is a stand-alone course and may not be taken concurrently with the two week intensive classes offered by AADA. Admission to the six week program is by audition. Click here for

Acting Classes
8 hours per week
Training: Discover relaxed, free, truthful use of self in imaginary circumstances; developing trust in spontaneous, moment-to-moment reactions Class work: Exercises for relaxation, concentration and sensitivity to fellow actors and internal/external stimuli; achieve focus, involvement and sense memory proceeding to dramatic analysis, improvisation and scene study
Voice & Speech
4 hours per week
Training: Add strength and emotional range to student's natural voice; develop voice as an instrument of communication on or off stage
Class work: Basic principles of voice production applied through structured exercises for placement and control; emphasis on articulation, intonation, stress and phrasing
Vocal Production
2 hours per week
Training: Build the vocal instrument through music; identify and correct vocal problems
Class work: Scales and songs; unlocking emotions and expression through music
Movement for Actors
2 hours per week
Training: Develop body as an instrument for the actor
Class work: Basic dance techniques; general movement exercises to develop imagination as well as muscular coordination and control
Electives
Elective courses may be offered during the Six Week Summer Intensive for an additional fee. Electives on each campus are made available subject to demand and may differ campus to campus.

Applications to Six Week Program
A signed and completed application form must be received by the Admissions Office along with a $50.00 application fee. Applicants under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian to sign as well. Applicants must be age 16 by the start of the program. Two passport-sized (2"x 2") photos are required no later than the day of the audition. These are for identification purposes and must be a full face image.
Auditions are not required for Two-Week Intensives. Enrollment in the Two-Week Intensives is on a first come first-served basis.
