1940's

Lauren Bacall (1942) was honored by Boston University as part of the school's Bette Davis Centenary tribute. Ms. Bacall was honored with the Bette Davis Medal of Honor.

Charles Durning (1948) co-stars in the feature film A Fonder Heart.

1950's

Robert Redford

Robert Redford (1959) received the inaugural Robert Redford Award for Engaged Artists from the University of Southern California's School of Theater. The award, which he received at a gala benefit on November 5, 2008, was created to acknowledge a person both for his work and commitment to issues outside work.

1960's

Don Amendolia (1966) is currently on Broadway in 33 Variations with Jane Fonda, Samantha Mathis and Colin Hanks.

Tom Atkins (1967) completed work on the indie films Trapped, and Shannon's Rainbow and plays Sheriff James Burke in the feature film My Bloody Valentine. In 2008 Tom performed his one man show The Chief at the Pittsburgh Public Theater and played Ebenezer Scrooge in the Pittsburgh CLO musical Christmas Carol. In April he will play Mike Hogan in the Pittsburgh Public Theater production of Moon for the Misbegotten.

Yusef Bulos (1963) played Gonzalo in Classic Stage's production of The Tempest in NYC.

Danny DeVito (1966) is directing the feature film The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle which will star Morgan Freeman, Pierce Brosnan and Saoirse Ronan.

Richard Zavaglia (1968) was in a staged reading of the new play Dinner with the Boys at the Rattlestick Theatre in NYC. He also played Mike Fransisco in Breaking Legs at the Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, Florida in early 2009.

1970's

Linwood Boomer (1977) wrote the script for and is the Executive Producer on a new sitcom tentatively titled The Karenskys.

Christine Ebersole (1975) is back on Broadway in the role of Elvira in Blithe Spirit. Early this year she played concert engagements in Texas, Florida and California.

Cristina Fontanelli (1977) performed her annual Christmas concert at the Kaufman Center in NYC.

Terry Gibson (1977) is living in Chicago where he works as a writer and actor.

Josh Griffith (1979) is the Executive Producer on The Young and the Restless.

Barbara Michalak Kite (1977) is the creative director on Tangoing with Tornadoes (the tour).

Blaine Pickett (1973) lives in Nashville where he played Marcus Lycus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Dan McGeachy (1975) played Hysterium in that production.

George Quick (1979) was appointed Producing Director of the Chattanooga Theatre Centre in TN.

Gayle Turner (1976) had an evening of performance and song at Solomon's Porch in Brooklyn.

1980's

Peter Ambrose (1986) played Amos Hart in Chicago at The Cabaret Dinner Theatre and Jaques in As You Like It for The Sweetwater Shakespeare Company, both in Grand Junction, CO.

Douglas Carter Beane's (1980) new musical The Big Time will get its world premiere at the La Jolla Playhouse in late 2009.

Jennifer Coolidge (1982) stars in the film Bad Lieutenant Port of Call: New Orleans with Nicholas Cage and Val Kilmer and The Jack of Spades. She can also be heard as the voice of Jaclyn in the animated feature Igor.

Johanna Day (1984) played Hippolyta/Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream for Hartford Stage.

Scott Dreier (1989) had a guest spot on The Suite Life on Deck which aired on The Disney Channel earlier in 2009.

Matt Durkan (1985) is a Development Director at UCLA.

Currie Graham (1986) plays Nick Balco on the television series Raising the Bar on TNT.

Graham Hamilton-Ludlow (1982) produced the television movie The Good Times are Killing Me.

David Kimmelman (1981) is the president and founder of the Woburn Repertory Community Theatre in Woburn, MA.

Jerry Lambert (1980) plays Donnie Booker in the feature film Smother with Diane Keaton and Liv Tyler. He recently filmed the television pilot Colt Sokoloff and can be seen on NBC's new comedy Howie Do It.

Julianne Lee's (1982) recent historical novel, A Question of Guilt: A Novel of Mary Stuart and the Death of Henry Darnley was published by Berkley Publishing (Penguin Putnam, Inc.). It will be followed by Bloody Mary: A Novel of Mary Tudor, due out later this year.

John Lenartz (1989) played Dr. Stockman in An Enemy of the People for the Phoenix Theater Company in NYC.

Robert Nott (1988) and Karen Leigh Peterson Nott (1988) are living in Santa Fe, where they are active in local theatre. Robert directed his comedy Mummy's Dummies and Karen played The Woman in The Unexpected Man.

Norma Diana Rodriguez (1984) is a professional vocalist and songwriter. Her voice can be heard in the feature film Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

Brent Scarpo (1986) won the Today Show's "Everyone Has a Story" contest. Brent appeared on the show and shared his inspirational story.

Keith Randolph Smith (1986) appeared in The First Breeze of Summer for Signature Theater Company in NYC.

Timothy Stickney (1985) played Pothinus in Caesar and Cleopatra at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.

Elliot Wimbush (1981) is the Pastor for the First Congregational Church of Maywood, IL and a trustee of the public library.

Charles Harper Yates (1985) is the Founding Artistic Director of Coyote StageWorks, a brand new theatre company in Palm Springs, CA.

1990's

Timothy Babcock (1990) recently performed the play Thom Pain (based on nothing) for Counter-Productions in Provincetown, MA and was named by the Cape Cod Times as one of the top 16 performers on Cape Cod for 2008.

Sean Vincent Biggins (1991) is currently playing the role of Trey Alan Gordon on the new web series With the Angels which is shown on the new Writers Guild-created network website strike TV.

James Brandon (aka Brandon Williams) (1998) and Elizabeth Cava (1981) were in a revival of Terrence McNally's Corpus Christi at the Rattlestick Theatre in NYC.

Sharon Cronk-Raby (1991) published the self-help book Distraction Destruction.

Carlos Diaz (1992) lives in Toronto, Canada, where he wrapped shooting the third season of the Canadian hit comedic series Rent a Goalie. Last summer he began work on the second season of another Canadian series, The Weight.

Matthew Dodd (1996) is a singer/songwriter and psychological consultant.

Lauren Elder

Lauren Elder (1998) was in the Tribe of the Public Theatre's production of Hair, which is scheduled to open on Broadway later this year.

Karen Eyo (1990) worked on the short film Rule 2. She lives in London where she runs her own business Keyone Fitness.

Greg Gomes (1996) is the lead singer/guitarist for the Greg Gomes Band.

Nate Gross (1995) is a theatre teacher at Arroyo Valley High School in San Bernardino, CA. He is also the Artistic Director and founding member of the Fictitious Theatre Company's Inland Theatre Works.

Leisha Hailey (1991) will recreate her role of Alice from The L Word in her own spin-off.

Georgina Lightning (1992) wrote, produced and starred in the indie film Older than America.

Taylor Mac (1991) performed his one-man show The Young Ladies of... in Chicago. He was nominated for an Innovative Theatre Award for this production at HERE Arts Center in NYC. The Innovative Theatre Awards celebrate the best of Off-Off Broadway.

Tony Nappo (1991) played Spenser in Wild Dogs at Canadian Stage Theatre in Toronto, shot a pilot called Clean for a Canadian cable station and is presently filming Defendor with Woody Harrelson and Elias Koteas (1983).

Blake Robbins (1993) has worked on Entourage, Private Practice and the film The Ugly Truth.

Peter Pamela Rose (1991) is a life/career coach who conducts seminars in acting.

Adam Scott (1993) appears in the new television series Trust Me.

Kevin Sussman (1991) appears in the Ang Lee film, Taking Woodstock. Michael J. Burg (1985) also appears in the film.

Missy Yager (1990) can be seen as Sarah Beth Carson on Television's Mad Men.

2000's

Jorge Blass (summer) is a magician who appeared on the cover of the September issue of Magic Magazine.

Will Bouvier (2004) played Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at the Cornerstone performing Arts Center in Fitchburg, MA.

Adrien Brody starred in the feature film The Brothers Bloom.

Adam Chambers (2002) had a guest spot on Without a Trace.

Max Crumm (2006) stars in Killing Diaz, which began performances at the Lounge Theatre in Hollywood, CA, Jan. 9.

Amber Doswell (2007) wrote and co-produced the play Loud Lonely Beast which was performed at the Gene Frankel Theatre in NYC in August. Roisin Donnelly (2007), William Apps (2007), Jaclyn Mitgang (2007) and Sasha Higgins (2006) performed and Lisa Milinazzo (Faculty) directed.

Natalia Fedner (2008) did some work on the CW series Gossip Girl.

August (Wittgenstein) Fredrik (2007) appears in the feature film Angels and Demons with Tom Hanks. He is also in the short film The Last Drop which was screened at the L.A. Latino Film Festival

Luke Grimes

Luke Grimes (2004) will join the cast of television's Brothers and Sisters.

Sasha Higgins (2006) appeared in the Off-Broadway production of the new musical London Cries.

Yohanna Idha (2004) is living in Sweden. She has completed work on music videos, a short film a feature length film and has launched a website for a network and production company.

Patrick McMahon (2006) and Tosca Minotto (2006) were in A Christmas Carol at the Glendale Theatre Center.

Judy Merrick (2007) was in Naked Holidays, NYC '08, which was performed at the Gene Frankel Theater.

Angela Milton (2006) taught acting classes at the New York Irish Center, played Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream in NYC and is currently an admissions counselor on AADA's Los Angeles campus.

Jared Morgenstern (2005) was in the new play Daggeurotypes as part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival.

Michael Mosley (2000) was in the cast of Manhattan Theatre Club's Back Back Back, which was performed at City Center in New York.

Mark Anthony Noonan (2005) was in the one man show Rum and Vodka at the Manhattan Theatre Source. The production was directed by John Brant (2006).

Haley Marie Norman

Haley Marie Norman (2004) has a recurring role on television's Crash, a series based upon the feature film.

David Orta (2002) has started his own film production company.

Melinda Prom (2005) directed Traffic Jam as part of the NY International Fringe Festival.

Sabrina Quinn (2004) is a co-founder of the theatre company 3 Acts Entertainment. She recently starred in their production of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf which was staged in Flint, Michigan.

Mark Riccadonna (2001) works as a standup comic and recently performed as part of "The Average White Guy Tour."

Leslie Rishkofski (2005) can be seen in the Academy Award nominted film Doubt and has completed work on the indie films A Quiet Little Marriage and Icarus is Smiling.

Ashlyn Selich (2006) had a recurring role in Lonelygirl15: the Resistance.

Justin Streichman (2005) performed in Still Point at Five Thirty Three, a gallery and studio in Los Angeles.

Phillip Whiteman (2005), Adam Meir (2005) and Andres Ortiz (2005) founded the repertory theatre, Cheekish Productions. They toured the south of England in late 2008 with their inaugural production of The Pillowman.

Jay Wilkison (2000) played Gordon in the final Broadway company of Rent and is seen in that role on the DVD cinecast.

Celebrating:

Gary Demuth (1980) was married to Marcia Kjelberg-Heins in Salina, KS on March 8, 2008. He is a reporter for the Salina Journal.

David Eigenberg (1986) and his wife welcomed baby Louie Steven in January.

Maryanne Puntoriero (2000) gave birth to a baby boy, Flynn, in November.

Remembering:

Julian Brennan (2005) Shortly after graduating from the Academy Julian joined the US Marine Corps and became a machine gunner with a mobile assault platoon. In November of 2008 he was deployed to Afghanistan with 3rd Battalion 8th Marines and on January 25, 2009 was killed by a roadside bomb in the Farah Province. In addition to being an actor, Julian was an athlete who participated in the NYC Triathlon. In 2008 Julian married Bettina Beard (2005).

Nina Foch (1942) Known early on as the confident blonde actress of 40's "B" films, Ms. Foch was nominated for an Academy Award in 1955 as a supporting actress for her role in Executive Suite and an Emmy Award in 1980 for her work on Lou Grant. She became a widely respected acting teacher in the Los Angeles area and was a senior faculty member at the American Film Institute.

Ivett (Quattlebaum) Stone Haley (1973) died July 29th after a long illness. She began her career as an actress in New York, later she ran the Ivett Stone talent Agency in Dallas, Texas. She was active in casting for local films and commercials as well as directing community theatre.

Alvilde Hannevold, an Evening School alum and Academy donor died in Argentina where she recently moved after having spent most of her adult life in NYC. Alvilde was of Norwegian ancestry but was raised in Argentina. She was a graduate of Barnard College; spoke seven languages and was for many years a Chief Interpreter at the UN. She loved the Academy and attended many plays here. She will be greatly missed by her many friends.
